The SchwuZ is Berlin’s oldest and most popular event center for queer culture and promotes the development of gay identities and all those who are committed to the reduction of restrictive categories. At our location in the former Kindlbrauerei / Neukölln, we offer more than 260 events a year on a gross area of 1,600 m2 for 1,200 guests. In addition to our own formats such as dance events, stage program or film presentations, we are currently expanding our field of third-party leasing. In this context, we present, among others, the concert series Berlin Live with acts such as Marc Almond, Bob Geldof, Petula Clark, Eric Burdon, The Do, but also high-end events such as film premieres of the TV station arte with Jean Paul Gaultier or the arte Berlinale Party.

From February 2018 we are looking for an Event Manager

Main tasks

  • Contact person for incoming inquiries about rentals of our location
  • Location inspection/site inspection with interested customers
  • Assignment and support of appointment options
  • customer-oriented offer and lease preparation
  • Invoice preparation and cost-performance calculation for the evaluation of the events
  • Coordination of projects and coordination with all involved trades
  • Collaboration in Sales and Product Management

Conditions:

  • completed vocational training or study or comparable qualifications
  • First job experience in event conception eg: Event agency
  • Sociable, communicative person with fun at event organization
  • absolute reliability and customer-oriented working method
  • Sensitization for the queer scene and our location
  • Team player, organizational talent, speed and flexibility
